Black entrepreneurs are preparing to make their mark during the holiday season at the She Did That. Holiday Bazaar, an annual event dedicated to growing Black-owned businesses, at Industry City on Sunday, Dec.1.
The curated event will feature over 60 Black-owned retailers, showcasing a diverse range of products and brands, including Ashunta Sheriff Beauty, Dope Black Woman, Fe Noel Little Caribbean and more, according to a press release.
“In times like these, it’s more important than ever to invest in Black-owned businesses," said founder Renae Bluitt. "Our community’s resilience and creativity deserve to be celebrated and supported, and the Holiday Bazaar is a powerful way to connect consumers with incredible Black-owned brands. Together, we can make a meaningful impact by choosing to shop with intention and purpose this holiday season and beyond.”
This year, the event is enhanced by its partnership with SheaMoisture, which will debut the He Did That. Marketplace. This special addition will feature entrepreneurs from SheaMoisture’s 2024 Trailblazers Fellowship, a program developed in partnership with The Gathering Spot and Georgetown University. Guests can also participate in the “SheaMoisture Fit Check,” an opportunity to show off their festive fashion looks upon arrival.
Participating food/drink vendors including B Stuyvesant Champagne, Healthy As A Motha and The Crabby Shack.
Tickets for the event, between 12:00pm and 6:00pm, are $20 and available via Eventbrite. Children aged 10 and under receive free admission if they are accompanied by an adult.
The first 500 ticketed guests will receive a complimentary SheaMoisture x She Did That. gift bag, and shoppers in the He Did That. Marketplace will receive a free full-sized product with their purchase.
