Kids love the February mid-winter public school break, parents...not so much.

But there's plenty to do in Brooklyn between Feb. 17 and Feb, 21, so children don't end up at home all day glued to the screen.

Maybe its time to head to one of Brooklyn's ice skating rinks, or check out the many family-friendly shops and activities at Industry City in Sunset Park.

Here's a list of things to do for kids and teens over the break:

Black Future Festival at the Brooklyn Children's Museum

The Brooklyn Children’s Museum will commemorate Black History Month with the Black Future Festival, a week-long celebration taking place from Feb. 16 to Feb. 22. Presented in partnership with guest curator Kendra J. Bostock and STooPS, the festival will offer a vibrant mix of performances, storytelling workshops, cultural experiences and artistic explorations. Inspired by the African Diaspora, the Black Future Festival encourages families to reflect on history while envisioning a future shaped by the values and lessons of Black culture. Each day of the event will feature live performances, dance programs and hands-on creative experiences for children and families.

Highlights include:
