The festival, running from Oct. 23 - 27, will focus on social and environmental issues, using cinema to address global challenges, according to a press release.

The festival will open with a party on Oct. 23 at Randolph Beer, followed by screenings at the 1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge from Oct. 24 to 27, followed by an awards ceremony, where the best filmmaker will receive the Grand Bridge Award.

Among the highlights is Brave the Dark, starring Jared Harris, telling the story of a homeless teen confronting his past. Other notable films include Underground Orange, a thrilling tale of a backpacker entangled in a polyamorous relationship and a kidnapping plot, and Runner, a heartwarming story of friendship and loss.
