SFWRUNWAY, a leading voice for inclusivity in fashion, will find their New York Fashion Week models in Brooklyn this month. This year's model casting, scheduled for August 31, is a critical step in SFWRUNWAY’s mission to reflect the world's diversity on the runway. To represent a broad spectrum of beauty and talent, SFWRUNWAY plans to select more than 200 models. The brand is seeking female and male models, ranging from size 0-6, and size 14 and up for the plus size segment; with a height requirement of 5’9” and above.

The New York Fashion Week programming highlights for SFWRUNWAY will celebrate African heritage and urban innovation on the first day with a spotlight on Latinx talent and future innovators on the second.
Shows will include: Maison Diaspora, a vibrant celebration of African designers who merge traditional motifs with contemporary aesthetics; Streetwear Collective, a showcase of cutting-edge streetwear brands; Latin Designers Collective, a tribute to the creativity and passion of Latinx designers, showcasing their use of bold colours, textures, and storytelling through fashion; and the Future of Fashion, an exploration of emerging fashion innovators who are pushing the boundaries of design and creativity.
Brooklyn is the critical location for this casting, serving as a beacon for creative expression. Alabi emphasized the significance of the borough in the brand's mission: "We don't take the impact of our work lightly. A young girl who's going through her own personal discovery journey can be inspired by seeing someone on the runway that looks like her, and we are proud to be conducting our search right here in the heart of Brooklyn."

Casting schedule
The casting call will take place August 31, 2024 at 12 Park St, Brooklyn, NY.
- 11 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. for plus size models size 14 and up
- 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. for models size 0-6
