For the fifth time this season, New York Liberty star forward Breanna Stewart has been named Eastern Conference Player of the Week by the WNBA.

This past week, Stewart led the Liberty to a pair of victories over the Chicago Sky and Indiana Fever, helping the team to push its single-season franchise win record to 24 victories — with 11 games still remaining.

During the week, Stewart put up monster averages of 31.5 points, 9.0 rebounds, 6.0 assists per game, in addition to averaging 2.0 blocks on the defensive end. The all-star forward scored in an efficient fashion to boot, shooting 59% from the field and knocking down three-pointers at a 50% clip.

In the Liberty's matchup against the Sky on Aug. 11, Stewart put up her 14th double-double performance of the season, scoring a game-high 21 points and snatching up 12 rebounds, in addition to passing the rock to the tune of 6 assists.

Following an already-impressive game, in her next matchup against the Fever, Stewart found a way to one-up herself by doing something the league has never witnessed before.

Against Indiana, Stewart scored a game-high 42 points, while also tallying up six rebounds and six assists. The 42-point performance was Stewart's third 40-point game of the season, which is the first time in league history that a player has ever accomplished this feat. The star forward also became the third WNBA player ever to have three-plus 40-point games in their career.

In the same game, Stewart also became one of two players in league history to record at least 40 points, six rebounds, six assists, and three blocks on at least 60% shooting from the floor.

The Player of the Week honor is the 15th of Stewart's career, as well as the 54th in Liberty franchise history.

Next up, Stewart and the Liberty will head to Las Vegas to try and take down an Aces team that holds the best record in the league.
