Enjoy free music every Thursday at Bushwick Inlet Park in Williamsburg, featuring featuring jazz, Caribbean and Latin music.

Each free performance will be held at 6:30pm from now through August 1 at the waterfront plaza at 86 Kent Avenue, according to a news release.

Upcoming performances include: George Gray Jazz Coalition, Ed Martinez y Conjunto Sabor, Gerry Eastman & Friends and Bombayo.

This 5 acre portion of Bushwick Inlet Park sits along the riparian shoreline of the East River. Access to the waterfront via the “Accidental Beach”, which was conceived by park design firm Starr Whitehouse, has become a beloved spot for New Yorkers to sit and view the sunset, have a family picnic in the fresh waterfront breeze or explore the natural shoreline at low tide. The concert series takes place adjacent to this spot, just outside on the paved plaza at the river’s edge under a grove of trees, according to the press release.

The event is sponsored by Greater New York Arts Development Fund of the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs, administered by Brooklyn Arts Council, along with 25 Kent, Greenpoint/Williamsburg Youth Soccer League, Brooklyn Brewery, El Puente/CADREJazz Foundation of America, and the NYC Department of Parks and Recreation.
