On Sunday, May 22, Sak Pasé Nation Presents, in collaboration with Zanmi NYC, Konbit Mizik, Zafem World Entertainment, and The Haitian-American Collaborative "ALL ROADS LEAD TO LITTLE HAITI, BROOKLYN" for the Flag Day festival you've been waiting for!

This is the time for all Haitians and all who love Haiti to "Leve Drapo Nou Wo!" (Raise your flag high!)

Haitian Flag Day is a Haitian holiday to celebrate the creation of the Flag of Haiti. The day is celebrated each year on 18 May, which is the anniversary of the date of the flag's adoption in 1803.

The day is observed in numerous cities of the US that have a large Haitian population. (Hello, Brooklyn!?!) Every year, on the last Sunday of May, a Haitian Day Parade is organized that goes down the Toussaint Louverture Boulevard (also known as Nostrand Avenue) in New York City.

The day is observed and celebrated by Haitians living in and outside of Haiti. In Haiti, the celebration takes place on the grounds of the national palace.

Sunday's celebration will take place on Nostrand Ave. between Ave. D. and Clarendon Road from 10:00am-6:00pm, rain or shine! The festival will feature the music legend Eddy Francois, Bohio Music, Topson, DJ Sabine & Okai, Tru Rasta, Zafem Band, DJ Gaboulou and surprise guests!

Plus, dance performances, an outdoor marketplace with incredible food, merchandise, raffle prizes, t-shirt giveaways and more!

Brooklyn, come through (Ranpli Kew!) and show your Haitian pride! Bring your flag and hold it high because l'union fait la force! (There's strength in unity!)
