Residents in East Flatbush are calling for a traffic signal at an intersection they say is dangerous.

The president of the 48th and 49th Street Block Association, Gail Dixon, says she has been requesting the city’s help in having a traffic signal put in on the corner. Dixon says the signal would help save the lives of Brooklyn residents.

"It’s getting worse and worse every living day,” a resident tells News 12. Residents say pedestrians have been struck and killed, and that cars have even crashed into homes and properties.
