A duo posing as cops handcuffed, beat up and robbed a man in his own apartment building in East New York, according to police.

The 53-year-old man was in his apartment the Cypress Hills Houses on Jan. 8 when two men knocked on the door around 8:15 a.m., claiming they were the police, according to the NYPD.

The two men took the 53-year-old from his home in handcuffs and brought him to another part of the building, where they punched him and took $100 cash from his wallet, according to police.
