BED-STUY, BROOKLYN â" Local groups and a neighbor with dreams of a neighborhood therapeutic garden will meet this week to reimagine a lot on Stuyvesant Avenue, according to event organizers.
The event, organized by several nonprofits and Pratt Institute, will include games, a raffle and refreshments at John the Baptist Community Garden this Saturday while neighbors discuss reviving the community space, according to a flyer.
It will be joined by Monica Rahman, a social worker who has been searching since last year for a space to set up a therapeutic garden for the neighborhood.
