A Flatlands man has been accused of murder, attempted murder, assault and other charges stemming from the shooting death of one man and the injuring of another during a backyard barbeque in East Flatbush last May.
Brooklyn District Attorney Eric Gonzalez said that on May 17, 2021 at approximately 12:21 a.m., defendant Kevin Phillips, 40, was at a barbeque in the rear yard of a house in East Flatbush when he bumped into a 31-year-old man.
An argument between them and a third man, Miles Bobbsemple, also 31, began, whereupon the defendant allegedly pulled out a gun and shot the two men, according to the DA’s Office.
