This winter, Brooklyn Botanic Garden will be shining bright thanks to illuminated light spectacular Lightscape.

Across a one-mile trail winding through BBG's 52-acre landscape, visitors will be able to see international showstoppers like the Cathedral of Light tunnel, Fire Garden — which will be installed on the Lily Pool Terrace, and Field of Light — which will cover Cherry Esplanade, as well as new site-specific light works created by Brooklyn artists

More than 18 distinct works of light art will be on view, all created to celebrate the beauty of nature and highlight the Garden's trees, landscapes, and architecture.

BBG Chief Public Affairs Officer Kathryn Glass said the garden was thrilled to present Lightscape in partnership with Sony Music. "This joyous installation beckons all New Yorkers in recognition that every world tradition marks the darkest period of the year with lights."
