BKLYN Commons has opened a new co-working and event space at the border of Bedford Stuyvesant and Bushwick to offer local freelancers and entrepreneurs a community-focused environment to grow their businesses.
Like BKLYN Commons flagship location in Flatbush, which opened in 2016, the Bed-Stuy/ Bushwick space offers beautifully designed private offices and communal hot desk areas. But with twice as much space it stretches over three levels it features more meeting rooms, larger events spaces, kitchen facilities as well as a number of cozy spots for members to relax.
Head of Growth Johanne Brierre emphasizes BKLYN Commons focus on both a local clientele and their desire to grow their business within their own community, as well as the burgeoning entrepreneurial community-at-large. Aside from offering just another co-working space, BKLYN Commons aims to connect its members and the nearby community through a host of business, networking and cultural events.
When you come into our coworking space you have opportunities to collaborate, meet other entrepreneurs, host events and access services you normally wouldnt have, Bierre says. BKLYN Commons is very Brooklyn, very diverse. You find all types of people, all ages, races and businesses who together form one community.
Memberships range from $100 per month for an open desk space to $400 for a private office, and include 24/7 access to office space, conference rooms and common lounge area. To learn more about the Bushwick and Flatbush locations, their membership options and rates, visit bklyncommons.com.
