Mayor Bill de Blasio and his team are setting up shop in Brooklyn next week.

Joined by deputy mayors and senior administration officials, de Blasio is bringing City Hall in Your Borough week to Brooklyn from Monday, August 20 to Friday, August, 24. The annual initiative, which the mayor first launched in 2017, offers Brooklyn residents the opportunity to meet with city government leaders, and to learn about benefits and services available to them. Events this week will include a resource fair on Wednesday, August 22, and a mayoral community town hall on Thursday, August 23.

"We're thrilled to bring back City Hall in Your Borough to Brooklyn to engage on the needs and challenges unique to its residents. It's our job to listen to New Yorkers, and there's no better way to do that than visiting them in their neighborhoods," said de Blasio. "As we move City Hall from borough to borough this year, we look forward to building a closer and productive relationship between New Yorkers and their city government."

In partnership with the Office of Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams, the City Resource Fair will take place at the Ingersoll Community Center in Fort Greene on Wednesday, August 22, from 12:00pm to 3:00pm. Brooklynites will be able to meet and address their concerns with top city commissioners and senior staff from various departments including the Department of Education (DOE), the Department of Finance (DOF), the Department of Health (DOHMH), the Department of Parks and Recreation (NYC Parks), the Department of Small Business Services (SBS), the Department of Transportation (NYCDOT) and the Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC), among others. To attend the resource fair, please RSVP here.

On Thursday, August 23, Adams will be presenting at community town hall with de Blasio, in partnership with Representative Hakeem Jeffries, State Senator Roxanne Persaud, Assembly Member Jaime Williams and Council Member Alan Maisel. The public event will take place at the Hebrew Educational Society in Canarsie and begin promptly at 6:30pm. As space is limited, please RSVP by Wednesday, August 22 at 5:00pmby visiting nyc.gov/cd46townhall, emailing brooklyntownhall@cityhall.nyc.gov or calling (212) 788-7929.
