This past Wednesday, State Senator Kevin Parker took time out to recognize and commend small business owners who have contributed to the sustainable energy education around New York City.  Senator Parker specifically recognized Mr. Ian Minerve, a Brooklynite who is the lead sponsor for the "Proof is Possible Tour", a  20-city U.S. Tour running from April 2016 through January 2017 in a high performance tiny house on wheels (THOW) called the #TinyLab.

Through Mr. Minerve's contributions and careful planning, the tour was able to make a handful of stops through New York in hopes of bridging the gap between those who are interested in the homes and the knowledge that they need to get started.  The Senator presented Minerve with an award for his outstanding performance as a contractor in 2016.

"It is important that constituents throughout the district and the surrounding areas have an opportunity to be educated on the sustainable energy resources and how to properly pre-diagnose issues in their home," Senator Parker explained as he commended NYC's first Tiny House Tour opportunity.

This city-to-city tour was created by Grace and Corbett Lunsford who are currently traveling with their four-month old baby in the  state of the art, energy efficient home.  In an effort to help spread knowledge about the possibilities of these homes,, the couple host a series of workshops educating homeowners and renters on home performance and sustainable energy resources.

Each city on the Proof Is Possible Tour is sponsored by a local company who shares the passion for empowering homeowners and changing the game.  Along the way certain cities will share in filming of the couples forthcoming TV show Home Diagnosis.   Their mission is simple: to revolutionize the home market by empowering consumers and contractors alike to use scientific testing to prove the work meets certain quality and energy standards.

The mobile exhibit is currently stationed at the Wyckoff House at 5816 Clarendon Road, a historic Brooklyn home that is often referenced when considering iconic properties in New York City.  In a formidable match up the Wyckoff House Museum is hosting the tiny lab house, representing innovation and progressive design.

"We came to the Senator because of his propensity to assist his constituency as well as his leadership qualities, knowledge, and expertise in the field of Energy and its inefficiencies," Minerve stated upon receiving his award.
