Police are looking for the gunman who shot and killed a Crown Heights man on Thursday night on St. Marks Avenue.

According to 77th Precinct police, on Thursday, January 8, at around 5:20pm, in front of 769 St. Marks Avenue (New York Avenue to Brooklyn Avenue), an unidentified man shot a 19-year-old man, hitting him one time in the right leg and one time on the right side of his body.

The gunman then fled to an unknown location.

The victim was taken to Kings County Hospital where he was treated for his injuries and then later pronounced dead.

Police are still looking for the gunman and the investigation is ongoing.
