Holiday EggnogTime for Christmas Cuisinart! Today’s holiday recipe is for the lactose-intolerant, vegans and/or those looking to avoid dairy.

It’s vegan eggnog! Serve this up for your house guests for a delicious, guiltless pleasure:



2 (10.5-oz) packages extra-firm Silken tofu

2 cups soymilk

2/3 cup turbinado or demerara sugar

1/4 tsp salt

1 cup cold water

4 1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract

1 cup rum or brandy (optional)


Combine all ingredients in food processor or blender and mix until smooth.

Makes 4 servings.
