A Brooklyn Tech High School math and physics teacher was arrested yesterday for sending a full-frontal photo to a 16-year-old female student, the Daily News reports.

Sean Shaynak, 44, who has taught at the prestigious Fort Greene public high school for the past five years, pleaded not guilty to disseminating indecent material to a minor. If convicted, he faces up to seven years in prison.

Shaynak allegedly used the photo app Snapchat, which automatically deletes images after 10 seconds, but the teen he sent it to took a screen grab of the picture to preserve it, prosecutors said.

"This is a disturbing allegation as schools should be safe havens for students where teachers should protect our children from, and not expose them to, such disgusting sexual images," Brooklyn district attorney Kenneth Thompson told reporters.

Shaynak was friendly with the teenage victim of the sex text and the two used to smoke weed and cigarettes together, according to prosecutor Janet Gleeson,

Department of Education spokeswoman Devora Kaye said Shaynak was reassigned to the rubber room, but will continue to collect his $52,744-a-year salary while the case is investigated.

Among the alumni of Brooklyn Tech is former Congressman Anthony Weiner, who resigned from office after it was found out that he sexted several women.

Currently, the mayor's son, Dante de Blasio attends the school. According to newspaper reports, he was not in any of Shaynak's classes.
