Fire detectives are investigating a mysterious fire that ignited Saturday morning in a home on Lafayette Avenue in Fort Greene, Brooklyn.
According to an FDNY spokesman, on Saturday, April 12, at around 10:08 am, firefighters were called to the scene of a fire that ignited on the first floor of a four-story brownstone located at 215 Lafayette Avenue between Clinton and Vanderbilt avenues.
Firefighters had to rescue tenants trapped on the upper floors. FDNY is reporting two injuries, one minor and another serious, both tenants of the building.
The fire was brought under control at approximately 10:38am, and detectives are investigating the cause of the fire.
