Brook-Lens: City Councilman Robert E. Cornegy Opens New District Office

New York City Councilmember Robert E. Cornegy, Jr. held an opening ceremony for his district office today at Bedford Stuyvesant Restoration Plaza, located at 1360 Fulton Street, Suite 500 in Bed-Stuy.

New York City Councilmember Robert E. Cornegy, Jr. held an opening ceremony for his district office today at Bedford Stuyvesant Restoration Plaza, located at 1360 Fulton Street, Suite 500 in Bed-Stuy.

Around 200 people attended the event, which served as an opportunity for constituents to learn more about the services offered by the office, which includes help with education, housing, landlord/tenant, and quality of life issues.

The city councilman also unveiled in his office the area's first and only community lactation stations to facilitate and promote breastfeeding support for working mothers and Central Brooklyn residents.

Former City Councilmember Al Vann, Assemblywoman Annette Robinson, State Senator Velmanette Montgomery, Assemblyman Walter Mosley; Aletha Maybank, assistant commissioner at the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene; Colvin Grannum, president of Bedford Stuyvesant Restoration Corporation and Judge Betty Stanton were in attendance.
