On Jan. 26, the Brooklyn Nets plan to celebrate Chinese New Year during the team's upcoming game against the Detroit Pistons at Barclay's Center.

The presenting partner of the evening's celebration will be 華人青年 (WAH YAN CHING NIN). The clothing brand specializing in Asian aesthetics has collaborated with the Nets to release a custom merchandise line that features a uniquely designed t-shirt and a crewneck sweatshirt.

The clothing collection will be exclusively sold at Brooklyn Fanatics — the Nets' team store located within Barclays Center.

In addition to creating a clothing line for the event, 華人青年 (WAH YAN CHING NIN) will also be participating in the festivities in numerous other ways. This includes giveaways for fans, a contest to win various prizes and a pop-up exhibit that will feature traditional Chinese-style clothing and teach attendees about cultural stories behind the clothing's different design elements.

“The Brooklyn Nets are excited to work alongside our partners at 華人青年 (WAH YAN CHING NIN) to celebrate Chinese New Year with our fans,” said Sam Zussman, CEO of the Nets' parent company BSE Global, in a statement.

“Our game on Jan. 26 is an opportunity for us to come together and pay homage to the rich history and traditions associated with Chinese culture across the world and in our own community.”

Other ways the NBA organization plans to commemorate the Year of the Rabbit include a halftime performance by a Chinese youth hip-hop dance team called TAKALA LAND, free samples of authentic Chinese food will be handed out to fans, various Nets players will provide Chinese New Year messages through in-game videos and much more.

In attendance that night will be Consul General Huang Ping from the Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China in New York, who will offer a special message and participate in a pregame gift exchange.

"The Chinese New Year game is part of the Nets Unite platform which seeks to build unity, celebrate culture, and foster equity by amplifying the rich traditions of our diverse community," said the Brooklyn Nets organization.
