The Brooklyn Academy of Music has announced its programming for the Winter to Spring seasons of the upcoming year.

"We are thrilled to announce this bold season full of unearthed masterpieces and new creations," BAM Artistic Director David Binder said.

"From music to theater, to dance, and beyond, we are honored to amplify the voices of these artists and uplift the community that keeps the indelible spirit of performance alive long after the curtain falls."

Engagements will include the New York revival of Lorraine Hansberry’s stunning drama, "The Sign in Sidney Brustein’s Window," Zadie Smith's debut play, "The Wife of Willesden," and a spring music series curated by Solange for Saint Heron.

The theater program will also welcome "Água," the US premiere by Tanztheater Wuppertal Pina Bausch. The dance program will bring both the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater and the 46th annual "DanceAfrica."

“BAM is profoundly grateful to the overwhelming support of our amazing audiences, and our incredible civic leaders, council members, community representatives, and elected officials,” BAM President Gina Duncan said.

“We deeply appreciate the generosity of Bloomberg Philanthropies and all of our donors that make it possible for us to serve, engage, and actively care for our community.”

Tickets go on sale for BAM Members and Patrons on Dec. 12, and to the general public on Dec. 19. Alvin Ailey public tickets go on sale Jan. 18, 2023.
