On Saturday May 28, from 11:00am – 3:00pm, State Senator Roxanne J. Persaud will host a “Prom Wear Giveaway”
prom-project-1

Every year, many girls abandon their plans to attend their prom due to the high cost of prom gowns and/or the stress of living in an unstable household, shelter or temporary housing.

Every young lady, despite her economic status deserves to feel attractive, confident and special during this once-in-a-lifetime event.

On Saturday May 28, from 11:00am – 3:00pm, State Senator Roxanne J. Persaud, in collaboration with Brooklyn Prom Project and other community partners will host a “Prom Wear Giveaway,” for middle and high school students in temporary housing.

The event will be held at Thomas Jefferson High School – 400 Granville Payne Avenue, in East New York, Brooklyn.

Interested students must see their DOE Family Assistance or School Counselor to register for the event.

Please feel free to contact Sen. Persaud's district office at 718-649-7653 for additional information.

The registration link can be found here.
