Low pressure will pass to the south and east of the New York City metropolitan area from late Thursday night into Friday morning, bringing an accumulating snowfall.
The National Weather Service, or NWS, expects the winter storm to affect most of New Jersey, New York City, Long Island, the Lower Hudson Valley, and Connecticut from about 10 p.m. Thursday through about 10 a.m. Friday.
A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for New York City from midnight until noon on Friday.
