Bishop Robert Brennan is set to be installed as the eighth bishop of the Diocese of Brooklyn.
Timothy Cardinal Dolan, and Archbishop Christophe Pierre will officiate the mass at the co-cathedral of Saint Joseph in Prospect Heights.
Bishop Brennan is a Bronx native, who was raised on Long Island. He succeeds Bishop Nicholas DiMarzio whose letter of resignation to Pope Francis was accepted in September.
Brooklyn's new Bishop will lead a Diocese of more than 1.3 million Catholics, known as the Diocese of Immigrants.
