The family of a 24-year-old Brooklyn man shot to death in broad daylight on the block where he lived told the Daily News Monday he was murdered by a friend.
Police have not identified a suspect in the Sunday slaying of Benjamin Brown or made any arrests.
But Brown’s family says the shooter, captured on video, was instantly recognizable to to them when police showed them the footage.
“They all grew up together,” said Brown’s aunt, Redell Brown, 53. “We’ve known the kid since before he was born,” she said of the suspect. “He’s supposed to be my godson.”
