Two lawyers who tossed a Molotov cocktail into an empty NYPD vehicle in Brooklyn during last year’s George Floyd protests â€" and then called for more fiery acts of violence in a string of text messages â€" have taken a plea deal.

Urooj Rahman and Colinford Mattis pleaded guilty in Brooklyn federal court Wednesday to possession of a destructive device and could face 10 years behind bars if their sentencing judge applies a terrorism enhancement.

They faced life sentences when indicted in June for the May 30, 2020 firebombing.
