An NYPD departmental trial judge has concluded that one of the most-sued cops on the force deserves to be docked 10 vacation days for an unjustified car stop in Brooklyn, the Daily News has learned.
Assistant Trial Commissioner Josh Kleiman on June 29 found Sgt. David Grieco guilty, according to a source familiar with the case. Grieco had been prosecuted by the Civilian Complaint Review Board, which had sought a 20-day penalty after investigating an allegation by Uber driver Nash Martin following a January 2018 car stop in Brownsville — supposedly because police smelled marijuana in Martin's car and wanted to see if his two passengers posed a threat to him.
