44 affordable apartments are available at the former Cascade Linen Supply Company building

Bed-Stuy's former Cascade Linen Supply Company building will soon hold 167 new housing units, including 44 affordable apartments that have just become available in a housing lottery.

The complex is part of a new seven building, mixed-use development built by Signature Acquisitions, Empire State Management and Nachman Leibowitz on the 869 Myrtle Ave site.

New Yorkers earning 60% of the area median income can apply for the apartments, which range from $1,041 a month for studio to $1,553 a month for a three-bedroom.

For a single person looking for a studio apartment, household income requirements are between $37,886 to $50,0160. For a four person family looking for a three-bedroom apartment, household incomes must be between $57,189 and $71,580.

Of the 44 affordable apartment, 50% have been set aside for residents of  Brooklyn Community Board 3 residents.

On top of the condos and rentals, the complex will also include more than 67,000 square feet of community and retail space, where residents will have access to a rooftop terrace, bike storage and a shared laundry room.

The U-shape development stretches along Stockton Street, Myrtle Avenue, and Marcy Avenue and the nearest subway lines are the G train at Myrtle-Willoughby Avenue and the J and M trains at Flushing Avenue.
