On Thursday, a man was struck by a van while crossing an East Flatbush intersection and left for dead, the NYPD said. The police have launched an investigation into the hit and run, that left a 49-year-old man dead after he was hit by a white van crossing Kings Highway and Ramsen Avenue. Authorities said the driver of that van did not remain at the scene and fled to parts unknown.

An off-duty EMT and her two sons are lucky to be alive after someone shot a barrage of bullets through the windshield of her car on May 11. The EMT said she heard six bullets hit, one which went into the driver's seat headrest, before gassing it around the corner. She said the shooting, which happened at a red light near Broadway and MacDougal St. around 5:00pm, was random and guessed it was a case of mistaken identity.
