An affordable housing lottery for 55 apartments at Harry T. Nance Apartments in Brownsville has opened, New York Yimby reports.

The apartments in the ten-story mixed use building at 1860 Eastern Parkway are available on NYC Housing Connect to those earning between $18,515 and $84,600 -- 30-60% of the area median income.

The 73,012-square-foot, 67-unit development is designed by Heritage Architecture and developed by RiseBoro Community Partnership. Of the 55 apartments, 5% are set aside for people with mobility issues and 2% are reserved for those with vision and hearing issues.

The building includes bike storage lockers, a shared laundry room, community center, playground and outdoor terrace, and all units will have energy-efficient appliances. The ground-floor community space will be occupied by True Holy Church.

Applicants must meet income and household size requirements to apply, and applications must be postmarked or submitted online no later than May 3, 2021.
