Mr. Samuel Dunston, Sr., the president of National Allotment Insurance and the former chair and co-founder of the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce's Minority and Women Business Enterprise Committee, has died after a short period of illness.
Dunston was a pioneer in the insurance business after successfully designing and operating employer/union-sponsored benefit plans that have helped the average worker to afford life insurance at a very low cost. He has also represented a long list of commercial clients like the Brooklyn Navy Yard, the United States Military Academy, Bedford-Stuyvesant Restoration Corporation, Mendon Truck Leasing, and the NYPD.
