The East New York neighborhood of Brooklyn will be put on Netflix map when the streaming giant premieres a four-part documentary based on the promising youth football program.
Emmy Award-winning director and producer Rudy Valdez shines a light on The Brooklyn Saints in the series, "We Are: The Brooklyn Saints," set to launch Jan. 29.
Though it's the hometown of celebrity notables such as legendary composer George Gershwin, "Who's The Boss?" star Tony Danza, Grammy winning singer/songwriter Maxwell, "This Is Us" actress Susan Kelechi Watson, author and entrepreneur Tionna Smalls, practical skills expert S. Tia Brown, rappers A-Z, Lil' Mama, B.E.N.Y Bermuda, Phresher and Young M.A., the rough-and- tumble lower trenches has traditionally gotten a bad rap through the years as a result of urban blight and its infamous high rate of crime.
