Amid a pandemic and a massive increase in early voting and absentee ballots, elections across the state will have a major impact on the future of Albany as Democrats currently control 40 of the 63 seats in the State Senate — needing to add only two members to their conference for a two-thirds super-majority that would give them veto-proof power against Gov. Cuomo.
