We went to the Boys and Girls High School track on Fulton Street. This was before they had cleaned it up, before Bed-Stuy [Bedford—Stuyvesant] and Crown Heights were like they are today. It was more of the do-or-die neighborhood, like what Biggie's songs reference—that's what I grew up with.
