This Saturday, Bed-Stuy favorite Hattie Carthan Community Market will return to its place outside the community garden on Marcy Avenue and Clifton Place, Patch reports.

With coronavirus precautions in place, including social distancing rules and required mask wearing, the market will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. across the road from Herbert Von King Park.

"Every Saturday, shop local in Bed Stuy for fresh locally sourced herbs, eggs, fruits and vegetables," the farm wrote online.

"Enjoy hot vibrational food for sale in the outdoor garden space, see the hens providing fresh eggs, ride a smoothie bike, bring your compost, learn about food justice and food movement sustainability, attend cooking demos led by local youths and more!"

Under the state executive order allowing some businesses to remain open through the pandemic, farmer's markets are deemed essential. But as an extra precaution, Hattie Carthan Community Market will not be allowing dogs or bikes into the market space.

The Hattie Carthan Herban Farm, the organization's second market, will open Aug. 2.
