A peacock who made a break for it from the Prospect Park Zoo led cops on a wild goose chase through the streets of Crown Heights early Monday morning, according to cops and reports.
The bird escaped from the zoo just before 6 a.m. and was found roaming near Flatbush Avenue and Empire Boulevard, cops said. Someone had called 911 to ask cops to investigate and help the bird, police said.
