Governor Andrew Cuomo has been given the green light to Attorney General Letitia James to begin investigating police interactions with and possible misconduct against citizens during recent protests of George Floyd's death.

On Wednesday, June 17, at 11:00am via a video conference, James will livestream a public hearing to examine the nature and details of these interactions. The AG is inviting members of the public who have experienced or witnessed notable interactions or what they believe was police misconduct to provide written testimony relevant to this investigation. The hearing will be viewable via the OAG website at: ag.ny.gov/livestream.

Oral testimony for the video hearing will be subject to hearing scheduling constraints and witness availability.

To be eligible for providing oral testimony at the hearing, testimony must be submitted in writing by Monday, June 15, at 5:00pm and must be submitted here

The Office of the Attorney General will review all testimony, both written and oral, and all testimony is subject to public disclosure.

Members of the public can also submit non-public complaints relevant to the Attorney General's investigation here.
