Brand-New 6-Story Apartment Complex Going up in Brownsville

Permits have been filed for a brand-new, six-story residential building, located at 2264 Atlantic Avenue between Rockaway and Pleasant Place avenues in Brownsville.

The proposed 70-foot-tall development will yield 13,473 square feet, with 9,876 square feet designated for residential space.

Listed as the architect is Robert Bianchini of ARC Architecture + Design Studio, known for producing "creative, responsible and high-quality designs on modest budgets." Richard Zavlyanov under the Diamond Development Group LLC is listed as the owner.

The building will have ten residential rentals averaging 987 square feet. The masonry-based structure will also have a cellar and a 39-foot yard behind the building.

The interior lot is two blocks south of the Rockaway Avenue subway station, serviced by the A train.

An estimated completion date has not been announced.
