For the second consecutive night, a vigil was held Wednesday on the Upper East Side for George Floyd and other victims of police violence. Photos from the event show that the second vigil turned out a much larger group that the night before.
Protesters packed East End Avenue for blocks, stretching from East 85th Street up to the police barricades in front of Gracie Mansion on East 87th Street on Wednesday. Just like the night before, the vigil began with a short speech from organizers and a 30-minute moment of silence.
