Teens Can Apply Now for the Myrtle Av. Young Entrepreneur Mentorship Summer Program

Calling all young residents of Fort Greene and Clinton Hill: APPLY NOW for the Summer 2020 Young Entrepreneur Mentorship Program!

The Young Entrepreneur Mentorship Program (YEMP) is part of the Myrtle Avenue Brooklyn Partnership, a 6-week summer internship program for high school students from Fort Greene and Clinton Hill. Students are provided paid job placements at a local businesses and participate in an orientation and workshops.

Workshops may focus on work readiness, financial literacy and entrepreneurship. Students will work for up to 15 hours per week and will be paid for both internship and workshop hours.

Eligibility

You are eligible to apply if you will be a sophomore, junior, senior or starting your first year of college in Fall 2020 (roughly ages 15 to 18) AND you live or attend school near Myrtle Avenue in Fort Greene or Clinton Hill.

Important Dates and Notes

Interns will begin at their host site on July 6, 2019 and conclude on August 14, 2020. Interns will participate in an orientation on June 30, 2020. Interns are required to attend two skills building workshops July 23rd and August 6th. A concluding celebration of the internship program will be held on August 14th, 2020.
