The campaign of Isiah James, a charismatic Brooklyn congressional candidate, has flamed out. James filed to run for the office held by Rep. Yvette Clarke, a New York Democrat, on January 22, 2019, attracting interest from local activists. Throughout the course of 2019, however, he spent just $3,341.90 on his campaign, according to his campaign finance disclosures, and has purchased no voter data, making it impossible for his campaign to target voters.
