Bed-Stuy, Time to Get Cooking and Get Counted with the Census and Chef Titus

In case you haven't noticed, it's Census time-- the a once-in-a-decade opportunity to make sure your city, your neighborhood, your block is counted!

Bedford Stuyvesant was part of one of the most undercounted districts in the 2010 Census with only 49% of Bed-Stuy households self-responding. 

So to make sure this neighborhood's federal resources match their numbers and their needs, on Tuesday, April 7, from 7:00pm-8:00pm, Bedford Stuyvesant Restoration Corporation is hosting a live cooking show on Instagram to gather foodies and the epi-curious while raise awareness of the Census.

The live demonstration, co-sponsored by 100 Black Men-- will be led by internationally and professionally trained Master Chef Titus Mitchell.  He will offer viewers a few tips and tricks on preparing tasty dishes for the entire family on a budget, including 

  1. How to meal prep for any dish
  2. How to make a delicious vegan dish 
  3. . How to use the meat of choice to make; and
  4. How to store your left-overs to last 

Before the demonstration, user will be asked to visit my2020census.gov or call 844-330-2020 and complete your Census. It's ten easy questions that literally only takes 5 minutes!
