Grammy Award-winning recording artists Toni Braxton announced her upcoming tour As Long As I Live, which on Sunday, February 10, will make a stop at Brooklyn's Kings Theatre.

Beginning in January, Braxton will embark on a 24-city-tour in support of her current Sex & Cigarettes album, that was nominated for the 2019 Grammys in the categories Best R&B album, Best R&B Song and Best R&B Performance.

Braxton's vocal blend of R&B, pop, jazz and gospel became an international sensation when she came forth with her first solo recording in 1992. Today, with more than 40 million albums sold worldwide and seven Grammy Awards, Braxton is recognized as one of the most outstanding voices of her generation.

Born a preacher's child, Braxton's first professional experience was singing in the church choir. Her talent was recognized by Antonio L.A. Reid and Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds and soon her solo recording career was launched. Her music first came to widespread popularity on the 1992 soundtrack of Boomerang. The resulting Toni Braxton album sold ten million copies worldwide, spawning the classics Another Sad Love Song and Breathe Again.

The acclaim for her second album Secrets continued her success. You're Makin' Me High became her first No.1  pop and R&B hit single. In 1996, she released Unbreak My Heart which ranks as the second top-selling single of all time by a female artist and has become her signature song.

Additionally, Braxton had successful runs on Broadway starring in Beauty and the Beast and Aida. In 2006, she headlined her own show Toni Braxton Revealed in Las Vegas.

Braxton is not coming alone to the Kings Theatre. Top-selling girl group SWV, known for '90s R&B hits like Right Here, I'm So Into You, Weak and You're the One, will be a sweet opening act.
