Beastie Boys' Adam "Adrock" Horovitz and Michael "Mike D" Diamond will embark on a six-night book tour in support of their upcoming memoir Beastie Boys Book: Live & Direct, and on Tuesday, October 30 they will make a stop at the Kings Theatre in Flatbush.

Beastie Boys Book: Live & Direct will feature readings, conversations between Mike D, Adrock and a special guest moderator, followed by a Q&A session. The group's longtime DJ Mix Master Mike will provide the live score and the event is accompanied by a new Beastie Boys exhibit, curated by the rappers in partnership with Beyond the Streets and Adidas Skateboarding.

Penned by Adrock and Mike D, the memoir tells the story of Beastie Boys for the first time in the band members' own words.

The Beastie Boys formed as a hardcore punk group in 1979 and gradually morphed into a rap trio, which scored multiplatinum success with their 1986 debut album Licensed to Ill. The group subsequently redefined their sound with the 1989 album Paul's Boutique. The group disbanded after co-founder Adam "MCA" Yauch died of cancer in 2012.

With their new book, the two Beasties offer funny accounts of their transition from teenage punks to budding rappers; their early collaboration with Russell Simmons and Rick Rubin; the debut album Licensed to Ill that became the first hip-hop record ever to hit No.1, and the album's messy fallout as the band broke with Def Jam; their evolution as musicians and social activists over the course of the classic albums Check Your Head, Ill Communication and Hello Nasty, and the Tibetan Freedom Concert benefits conceived by the late Adam "MCA" Yauch and more.

Adrock and Mike D's personal recollections are an assortment of rare photos and original illustrations, a graphic novel, a map of Beastie Boys' New York, mixtape playlists, and special contributions from Amy Poehler, Colson Whitehead, Spike Jonze, Wes Anderson, Luc Sante, among others.

All Beastie Boys Book: Live & Direct tickets include a copy of the book, ready for pick up upon entry. Tickets go on sale Friday, September 28.
