Rule Breakers, a celebration of status-quo defying women, culture and lifestyle, is taking over Prospect Park's Lefrac Center on Saturday, September 22 with live performances by Janelle Monae and Sofi Tukker.

The day-long event is put on by Bustle, the digital publisher of women's online sites Elite Daily, Romper and The Zoe Report. In partnership with media brand Flavorpill, a $45 ticket will give attendees access to a variety of experiences and activities such as "The Big Quiet" group meditation, the Rule Breakers Roller Disco, a '90s nostalgia party with DJ Va$htie, lots of food and more.

Ruler Breakers is coming to Prospect Park

GRAMMY-nominated singer-songwriter Janelle Monáe, sharing her hybrid brand of Afrofuturist funk, soul and R&B from her latest album "Dirty Computer," will be headlining an all-female lineup. Other musical guests include Grammy-nominated dance-pop duo Sofi Tukker and DJ Samantha Ronson.

"At Bustle, we have always celebrated women who have broken boundaries to achieve amazing things, but Rule Breakers gives us a chance to celebrate them in real life," said Bustle Digital Group Editor-in-Chief Kate Ward. "We are excited for readers to learn about our Rule Breakers and to meet up with members of the Bustle community for an unforgettable and inspiring event."

Festival-goers can also get crafty by making their own tassle earrings with The Neon Tea Party, pick out a custom face scrub, hit a "braid bar" courtesy of the hairy godmothers at RPZL, get an original haiku written by the Haiku Gals or sip a complimentary Glenlivet at the Women of Whiskey bar.
