The Brownsville siblings who were reported missing on Wednesday were found safe in Midtown Manhattan Thursday afternoon, reports ABC News.

Kimberly Washington, the mother of 12-year-old Lala Washington 9-year-old Andrew Hillard, last saw her children Wednesday morning at 8:00am when they left their home at Marcus Garvey Houses on Amboy Street to go to a food program across the street.

Lala and Andrew were found yesterday around 4:00pm at a Starbucks on 325 West 49th Street and were taken to a hospital for observation. Two Starbucks staff members discovered the children sleeping on a bench inside the store. One of the employees went to wake them up, while the other employee conducted a Google search for missing children, saw their picture and notified the authorities.

Meanwhile, Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams joined local leaders, volunteer organizations, including Man Up! Inc. founder A.T. Mitchell and other concerned community members outside Marcus Garvey Houses to mobilize in the search for the children and to pass out images of the two in the area.

The last person who had seen them before they disappeared was the manager of the food program. While Lala and Andrew arrived at the program, they never came inside and then disappeared. It is still unclear where they went or what happened to them. Their mother said that they had never gone missing before and nor is running away in their character.
