Celebrate National Night Out in Central and East Brooklyn

Meet your local police officers and neighbors while enjoying free food, games, prizes and music during the annual National Night Out

The annual National Night Out, America's Night Out Against Crime, is taking place today, Tuesday, August 7, all around the country — and throughout Central and East Brooklyn.

Close to 37.8 million neighbors across 16,124 communities will participate around the nation in the celebration of National Night Out. The annual summer event is sponsored by the National Association of Town Watches in which police precincts across the United States organize anti-crime rallies with the participation of local business and civic organizations.

By hosting block parties, cookouts and other various community events paired with safety demonstrations, seminars, youth events, visits from emergency personnel and exhibits, National Night Out is a cohesive effort to promote involvement in crime prevention activities, police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie.

This year attendees can enjoy free food, games, prizes, music and more.
