In addition to offering live entertainment, concerts and sports events, the Barclays Center will also open its space to retail pop-up shops.

BSE Global, the company that manages the Barclays Center, announced on Friday the launch of 'Featured on Flatbush,' a new business initiative in the retail space next to the Brooklyn Nets' team store.

Featured on Flatbush will be home to a revolving calendar of pop-up shops and will offer opportunities for local businesses to showcase their goods. The customizable space sits on the Flatbush Avenue side of the venue and features prime retail space with floor-to-ceiling windows and direct street access.

"We encourage our neighbors in the Brooklyn community to submit their applications to utilize this space," read a statement online. "For your growing business or community endeavor, Featured On Flatbush offers a premier location with outstanding visibility to connect with your audience."

And according to BSE Global, the Barclays Center will use its assets such as the Oculus, the 3,000-squar- foot, 360-degree LED marque and its digital platforms, to give additional promotional support to each Featured on Flatbush tenant.

Budding artisans, emerging designers and homegrown entrepreneurs are invited to apply to take over the retail location by visiting www.barclayscenter.com/featuredonflatbush.
