This year’s annual block party treated residents to a musical feast peppered with “knowledge of self” and a dose of “determination”
RestorationROCKS, a part of the annual week-long Bed-Stuy Alive! celebration, returned on Saturday during the 50th anniversary of the Bedford Stuyvesant Restoration Corporation with an amazing line-up of musical revolutionaries, including Talib Kweli, DJ Spinna, Soul Science Lab and Les Nubians.
Fulton Street between New York and Brooklyn avenues filled up with local residents excited to experience the free live show. Also lining the sidewalks was a bevy of local vendors and community organizations featuring the products and services available to the residents of Central Brooklyn!
Check out the video highlight of this block party which remains one of the best gatherings in Brooklyn to marry music, merchants, culture and community!
